The book annoyed me and the narrator with her "You don't really love me, why do you love me? I'm so nothing, so nobody" blah, blah, blah annoyed me. But maybe it annoyed me more by the 2nd and 3rd books (which were more of the same).
And what really annoyed me is that I couldn't put it down. It's not terrific writing, but it's very compelling. Sort of like The Da Vinci Code--so-so writing with a terrific storyline/plot.
